Dynamo and Lokomotiv derby end in goalless draw

10-man Dynamo brought the match against Lokomotiv to 0-0 draw thanks to the tremendous save by Igor Leschuk.

On the eve of the match against Lokomotiv, Sandro Schwarz was forced to change the starting line-up. Anton Shunin was injured in pre-match training and gave the place to Igor Leshchuk. Also, Zakharyan and Tyukavin returned to the first XI.

Dynamo players started with decent pressure on the rival penalty area, but all the White-Blues attacks were stopped by smart and compact game of Lokomotiv defenders. At the end of the first half, Kamano took possession of the ball struggling with Ordets and hit the net. However, after the video replay, the referee cancelled the goal due to the foul on Dynamo centre-back.

After the halftime our team kept looking for a goal. But in one of Lokomotiv counter-attacks, Ordets fouled Zé Luís and was sent off. Immediately after that, our rivals created a great chance. Cape Verdean striker was very close to open the score with a header but Leshchuk showed great reaction tipping the ball into the crossbar.

Due to this marvelous save our goalkeeper was recognized as the man of the match by the experts of the national broadcaster.

Dynamo earned 47 points and remained seventh in standings. In the last match of the season, the White-Blues will take on CSKA Moscow at the VTB Arena on May 16th.
