The meeting of the 6th round of the Russian Premier League, held at VTB Arena, ended with the victory of our team with a score of 3:0.
After the derby with the army team, there was only one change in the starting lineup of the blue and whites - Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov was replaced by Dmitry Skopintsev on the left flank of the attack. Roberto Fernandez, who recovered from injury, and another newcomer Anton Miranchuk were in reserve.
The match started at a leisurely pace, and in the first 10 minutes the most memorable moment was a small clash between Skopintsev and his former teammate Daniil Lesov on the corner. But then Dynamo sharply increased and began to create one moment after another.
First, after a good cross by Denis Makarov, the ball bounced off to Daniil Fomin, who rolled onto Skopintsev, whose shot was firmly taken by Nikita Medvedev. Then Fomin competently put his head under the cross of Juan Caceres, hitting the crossbar. Finally, in the 16th minute, Makarov adjusted to the clearance of Caceres from his half of the field, moved forward and struck powerfully - the ball ricocheted from Sven Karic into the open corner of the goal!
The guests got a little more active with the help of jerks from Lesovoy. At first, he made a cross to Vyacheslav Grulev, who was momentarily outpaced by Rubens, and a little later ran away to a rendezvous with Igor Leshchuk, who parried a shot from close range. However, the linesman immediately raised the flag, signaling the offside position.
In the last 10 minutes Dynamo had to at least double their advantage. Skopintsev, after several feints, perfectly passed to Fomin, whose head shot somehow miraculously saved Medvedev. A couple minutes later, Makarov gave a cutting pass to Sergeev, who ran away behind the defenders, and the goalkeeper of the guests reacted to the forward's "scoop". Already in added time, the ball got into the net of Nizhny Novgorod after a corner kick, but Sergeev's goal was canceled due to offside.
The second half began with a real assault of the hosts. In the very first attack, Bitello played with Caceres near the Pari NN penalty area and hit the target powerfully, Medvedev parried the ball in front of him, and Fomin was the first on the rebound – 2:0.
Immediately Makarov's cross reached Sergeev, after whose shot from 7 meters the ball hit the defender's leg and flew over the crossbar. Following a quick attack, Bitello shot from the penalty line, and Karic stopped the ball on the line while falling. Another beautiful combination ended with a neat cross from Sergeev and a nod from Makarov, after which Maksim Shnaptsev cut the ball into his own goal. Unfortunately, the video replay showed Fomin's handball at the beginning of the attack.
In one of the rare attacks, the Nizhny Novgorod players also found their chance: Juan Boselli robbed Caceres in our penalty area and shot from an acute angle - Leschuk diverted the ball to the corner. But this was only an episode, otherwise the Dynamo players confidently controlled the game.
20 minutes before the end, Miranchuk made his long-awaited debut, replacing Fomin in the number eight position, while Sergeev went left and El-Mehdi Maouhoub settled in the center of the attack. And soon Anton could have scored Dynamo's third goal, responding to a good pass from Rubens, but the ball after his header went centimeters from the post.
The smell of defeat was even stronger when Ulvi Babayev, who came on as a substitute, rolled it to Bitello, who shot for sure, but Medvedev once again saved his team. And yet, already in added time, a third goal found its way into his goal. Bitello rolled the ball from a corner to Caceres, who gently crossed into the penalty area, and Nicolas Marichal left the goalkeeper no chance!
Dynamo scored 8 points and rose to 8th place in the table. In their next match, the white-blues will play away against Krylia Sovetov on Wednesday, August 27, as part of the Russian Cup.
