Dynamo Moscow defender Roberto Fernandez turns 26 on Sunday.
Roberto was born in the Paraguayan city of Concepcion, later moved to the capital Asuncion, where he began to progress rapidly and got into the youth national team of Paraguay. In 2017, as the captain of the U-17 national team, he led it to the bronze medals of the South American Championship, and then played at the World Youth Championship. Then he made his debut for Guarani and twice won silver medals at the Paraguayan championship.
In January 2022, Fernandez received his first call-up to the main national team of Paraguay, and six months later he signed a five-year contract with Dynamo. In March 2025, the blue and white and Roberto agreed to extend the agreement until the end of the 2028/29 season.
In total, during this time, Roberto played 106 matches and scored 6 goals, winning bronze medals with the team in the 2023/24 season.
