Honored coach of Russia, Olympic champion Gadzhi Gadzhiev turns 80 on Tuesday.
During his more than 50-year career, he successfully coached various Soviet and Russian clubs, was a member of the coaching staff of the USSR national team, which triumphed at the 1988 Olympic Games, and later worked with the youth and the main national team of Russia. Since 2021 he has been the president of Dynamo Makhachkala.
