Leading Dynamo footballer of the 1990s. Technically prepared and with a keen sense of the team's position on the field, he instantly made the right decisions and developed the attacks of the white-blues.
He was the main dispatcher on the field. With his hidden passes, he brought his teammates to the most advantageous positions for a strike. He had a skillful shot and long pass, so he took most corners, free kicks and penalties.
In addition to Dynamo, he played for the Spanish Real Betis and Zenit St. Petersburg. He finished his playing career at Dynamo, where he continued to work as a coach and even headed the white-blues in the seasons: 2005 (interim), 2006-2010 (bronze medals of the 2008 Russian Championship) and 2015/16.
