Igor Simutenkov

One of the best left forwards in the country in the 1990s. Fast and agile, had a unique dribbling technique, had a great sense of the moment and chose a position to complete an attack. Wasn't afraid to go into tough duels. For his rationality and ability to instantly make the right decisions, he received the playful nickname "computer".

He didn't stand out for his physical attributes or the power of his shot, but he was distinguished by his subtle understanding of the game and reading of episodes. He could independently dribble past opponents' defenders to create a scoring opportunity. He scored a lot thanks to his impeccable choice of position in the center of the penalty area: he finished flank passes, played on the finishing touches after his teammates' chances.

After playing for Dynamo, he played in Italy, Spain and even the USA. He ended his playing career in 2006, returning to Russia. Then he switched to coaching. From 2007 to 2009 he headed the national youth team, and since 2010 he has been working on the coaching staff of Zenit St. Petersburg.
