The legendary defensive player in Soviet football. He combined amazing defensive skills and the ability to organize attack. A true all-rounder for his time.

When playing defensively, he reliably blocked the way to the goal due to his ability to read the game, excellent aerial and tackling skills. He had a great first pass, including long-range passes, which allowed him to launch Dynamo's attacks. He was particularly remembered for his powerful and accurate long-range shots.

After finishing his career as a player, he continued to develop in football as a coach. In the first year, he even led the main team, but he really realized himself in children's and youth teams, becoming one of the best specialists in the country.
