A midfielder of Georgian origin with Greek roots, who played for Dynamo in the first half of the 1990s. He stood out for his good technique, excellent vision of the field, ability to start an attack and accuracy in defensive actions.

In his actions on the field, he was remembered for his discipline and impeccable execution of the coach's game plan, he was especially effective in tackling in defense. Thanks to his outstanding technique, he could make a solo run and give a pre-goal pass to his teammates. He was distinguished by his intellectual play and restraint in his behavior.

After Dynamo, he moved to Alania, with which he became the champion of Russia (1995) and silver medalist (1996), then tried to continue his career in the Italian Roma, but due to a serious injury he was forced to terminate the contract. Then he played in PAOK, with whom he won the Greek Cup. In the 2000s, he returned to Russia, where he played for Alania, Anzhi and Krylia Sovetov. After finishing his career as a football player, he took up coaching. He worked with various RPL and FNL teams.
