He did not stand out for his brilliant play, but he did a huge amount of dirty work, thanks to which he was a stable player of the main team in the 1970s. Take the ball, pass, open up - this was his main style of play. He followed the coaches' instructions exactly and was distinguished by his disciplined behavior on the field.
He performed all game actions at high speed, was active in playing along with his teammates, acted superbly in the duels, quickly and accurately assessed game situations.
In the 1980s, he moved from Dynamo to Pakhtakor, and then to Kuban, where he finished his football career. Then he worked as a coach of small teams all over the country, and in the late 1990s he returned to Dynamo and even headed the main team. In his coaching activities, he is considered a great professional, who is distinguished by his targeted work with young people and constant improvement of the training process.
