Igor Semshov

One of the leaders of Russian football in the 2000s. An attacking midfielder, distinguished by his goal-scoring instinct, vision of the field and combination play. Famous for his gentlemanly behavior on the field and reserved character. In addition to attacking actions, he always worked reliably in defense. He played more than 400 matches in his career and scored more than 100 goals.

He had excellent technique and a set shot, including an excellent header. He knew how to competently and timely open up in the penalty area and finish a combination with a goal. He had high speed, often made solo runs using dribbling, and could always give a sharp pass in the final third of the field.

After Dynamo, he spent a season in Zenit and returned back, and ended his football career in 2015 in Krylia Sovetov, after which he began working as a coach. By 2022, he had worked on the coaching staff of such teams as Arsenal Tula, Khimik and Khimki. In season 2022-2023, he was the head coach of FC Chaika Peschanokopskoye.
