An outstanding free-kick master and regular penalty-taker for Dynamo in the 1950s. In midfield, he had an excellent vision of the field, thanks to which he built an effective combination game on the left flank.
He gave precise and timely passes, which brought his teammates into striking positions. He took penalties almost without error and regularly scored directly from free kicks. He was a master of shooting and passing with his left foot.
After finishing his playing career, he worked in one of the KGB departments until the 1990s. During the Russian period, he worked in an administrative position at Dynamo.
