– You missed the match with Orenburg because of the injury sustained in the national team. How do you feel now?
– I feel much better now, so I'll be ready for Wednesday. I am preparing for an important match.
– We had a great first 45 minutes with Orenburg, we scored two goals. What happened then – did you start thinking about Krasnodar?
– We played well in the first half. I think the goal I missed before the break was affected. In the second half, some nervousness began, which did not lead to anything good. We need to take a step forward as a team and bring such matches to their logical conclusion.
– One pleasant event in the match definitely happened – Konstantin Tyukavin became the best scorer of the club in the XXI century. How did the team congratulate him?
– I personally congratulated Kostya, because this is a really big event. I am very happy for him. I think he can break more than one record for goals.
– On Wednesday, the team is waiting for the main home match of this season – does this thought put more pressure on or give additional motivation?
– We try to consider this as motivation. We have come a long way, and now we are separated by one confrontation from the main final. We are preparing for the home match and we believe that we will pass Krasnodar, which can be called the main irritant for us in recent years.
– And for you personally, the matches with the team where you received your football education remain special?
– Probably to a lesser extent. This confrontation has already become fundamental for the club and all the players. Now we need to pass them in the Cup and start a white streak in matches with them.
– We haven't won against them in official matches for a long time. Will winning the Winter Cup help from a psychological point of view?
– It's still a friendly tournament, so I think neither we nor they attach importance to this result.
– If we take the beginning of the year, then in the first three winning rounds in the central zone your team with Rubens played. With Zenit and Orenburg, it broke up, and the result was worse. Do you already understand each other well with him?
– Yes, I feel comfortable playing with Rubens. But I would also like to mention Timofey Marinkin. The young guy looks very good, so now we can use different options in the middle zone in different matches. That's great.
– How do you help a young teammate? Maybe he's asking for advice?
– I try to help, I always communicate with him. I think he doesn't need anything more detailed, because he has a bright head on his shoulders. He's a great fellow, let him continue in the same spirit.
– You have already scored more than 200 matches for Dynamo. Do you feel like the main old-timer of the team?
– Of course, I feel it, but I believe that the most important matches and impressions are still ahead of us.
– Dmitry Skopintsev is just two matches behind you. Are you conducting a face-to-face competition with him?
– Not at all. We have known each other for a very long time and only rejoice for each other when we overcome some significant mark.
– Can you imagine that you can reach Anton Shunin's figures?
– I would not like to guess. The most important thing is that there are no injuries, and I can benefit Dynamo, go forward with the club and win a trophy.
– You have already played 76 matches as a team captain. Have you changed in any way during this time?
– I think that if we compare the period when I became captain for the first time under Jokanovic and now, there have been quite big internal changes in me.
– Your father recently became the head of Alania Vladikavkaz, which plays in the same division with Dynamo-2. Did you ask him to take easy on young Dynamo players in the recent match?
– No, my father and his team have their own goals, and they also needed to win. I really wanted to attend this match, but he fell out at the national team games. I am very happy for him that he led a club with a great history and is now in first place in the table.
– How often do you analyze your games with him now?
– Every match, it's been going on since childhood. It is clear that due to its workload, some games are more, some are less, but we keep the tradition. His opinion is very important to me.
