The match of the 10th round of the Russian Premier League, held in Samara, ended with the victory of our team with a score of 3:2.
After the victory in Orenburg, Valeri Karpin made only one change in position, and that was a necessary one: Juan Cáceres, who had picked up a card, was replaced on the right flank by Alexander Kutitsky.
At the start of the match, both teams tried to meet their opponents high up the pitch, preventing them from launching attacks quickly. However, one of these attacks brought Dynamo a breakthrough in the ninth minute: Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov played a long diagonal pass to El-Mehdi Maouhoub, who crossed to the near corner of the penalty area, where Daniil Fomin headed the ball into the net!
Anton Miranchuk then made a brilliant play in the penalty area to find Bitello, who could have shot himself but decided to pass to Maouhoub, and the defender managed to intercept the pass. Samara also found their chance: Maxim Osipenko mistimed the pass and deflected it to Fernando Costanza, who found himself one-on-one with Andrey Lunyov and fired just wide of the post.
But Dynamo were far more dangerous. Sergey Pesyakov twice saved his team: first after a cutback from Dominique Oroz, and then after a header from Maouhoub, who was finishing off Miranchuk's cross. However, Anton's assist was not lost – Bitello handled his pass brilliantly on the edge of the penalty area and sent the ball right between the legs of the home team's goalkeeper.
No one was going to stop there. Miranchuk could have scored himself after Ivan Sergeyev's pass, but he fired just over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, he also took a corner, the ball bounced around the penalty area and eventually bounced to Sergeyev, who scored against his former team, making the score big.
The break didn't change the situation on the field – Dynamo continued to attack and regularly created dangerous situations near the Samara goal. Miranchuk found Maouhoub in the penalty area with a through ball, but he took a moment to shoot, and a defender blocked his shot. Sergeev cleverly headed in Miranchuk's corner, but Pesyakov reacted.
And then Samara suddenly scored in a rare attack. Kirill Pechenin drove from the left flank into the center, and the onrushing Ilzat Akhmetov fired a shot right into the corner. Rubens could have quickly restored the three-goal lead by pounced on a poor backpass from Nikolai Rasskazov, but Pesyakov emerged victorious from the duel. Sergeev twice made dangerous headers – the first was saved by the Samara goalkeeper in the bottom corner, and the second went inches wide of the post.
After the 68th minute, Karpin reinvigorated the right flank, bringing on Nicolas Marichal and Ulvi Babayev, and a little later Konstantin Tyukavin entered the field. Dynamo's players began reaching the opponent's goal with even greater ease, but they couldn't score. Tyukavin headed dangerously wide after a corner. Kostya then backheeled a pass to Bitello in the penalty area, but he missed the ball.
A tense ending was inevitable. Akhmetov made a play on the right flank and crossed perfectly onto the head of Tomas Galdames, who narrowed the gap to a razor-thin margin. Fortunately, the hosts had no more chances, and Tyukavin could have sealed the game, but his volley hit the post.
Dynamo earned 15 points and climbed to provisional sixth place in the standings. Our team will play Krasnodar away on September 30 as part of the FONBET Russian Cup.
