The main time of the return match of the final of the RPL FONBET Way of the Cup of Russia, held in Krasnodar, ended with a score of 0:0. In the penalty shootout, the hosts were more accurate – 6:5.
After the derby with Lokomotiv, there were three changes in the starting lineup. Andrei Lunev, who had recovered, returned to the gate, having last played just in the first match of the finals in Moscow, Dmitry Skopintsev came out on the left in defense, and Danil Glebov was paired with Daniil Fomin in the center.
The game started without a swing: already in the first minute Bitello almost fell out one–on-one with the goalkeeper, but the defender managed to wipe him off the ball, then Joao Batchi covered Lunev - fortunately, the ball from his foot flew past the goal.
After 10 minutes of double-edged struggle, the hosts seized the territorial advantage. In the 17th minute, Nikita Krivtsov, after a series of feints, rolled out the ball to Eduard Spertsyan, who struck the crossbar from 20 meters. Then the captain of Krasnodar gave a corner, and Vitor Tormen threw the ball with his head on the goal net.
Dynamo had their moment from the standard: Bitello gave a free kick, and Konstantin Tyukavin cleverly cut the ball with his head – next to the bar. Daniil Fomin and Yaroslav Gladyshev scored long-range strikes, but both times into the hands of Stanislav Agkatsev.
On the opposite half of the field Lunev acted flawlessly, several times ahead of rivals at the last moment. In the end, John Cordoba got his moment, freed from custody and punched from 10 meters next to the bar. Arthur created an even better chance for himself, dribbling past three defenders and almost hitting the far corner – Agkatsev flashed his reaction.
Dynamo started the second half noticeably more actively, and after one of the corners Skopintsev hit with his favorite left, but the ball went just above the crossbar. But Glebov's long-range strike turned out to be much more accurate, and Agkatsev again had to save his team in a jump. The starting 15th minute was closed by Bitello with a beautiful blow through himself into the hands of the goalkeeper.
Roland Gusev made the first substitution only in the 71st minute - Timofey Marinkin came out instead of the injured Fomin and almost immediately "put" Kevin Lenini on the yellow card. Five minutes before the end, Ulvi Babaev, Luis Chavez and Ivan Sergeev appeared on the field – apparently already with an eye on a penalty shootout.
However, it was still necessary to finish it. After a long-range shot by Lenini, Lunev knocked the ball aside, Krivtsov picked it up and made a cross to the far post, where Kobnan Moses hit from three meters, it seemed for sure, but Skopintsev managed to move and selflessly deflected the blow with his face.
He also had to open a penalty shootout, and Dmitry confidently coped with his task. Sergeyev, Chavez, Arthur and David Ricardo also made their attempts. Agkatsev repelled the blows of Tyukavin and Juan Caceres, while only Douglas Augusto missed the Krasnodar team.
