The meeting of the 23rd round of the Russian Premier League, held at VTB Arena, ended with a score of 3:3.
This time, both Konstantin Tyukavin and Ivan Sergeyev found a place in the attack. Rubens served his suspension and formed a holding midfield pairing with Timofey Marinkin, while Leon Seidenzal played at right back. Anton Miranchuk, who had missed a month, and Milan Majstorovic, who had last been on the roster 13 months earlier, were on the bench.
In the second minute, Bitello crossed into the goal area. Bogdan Ovsyannikov dropped the ball straight to Nicolas Ngamaleu, but the Cameroonian forward couldn't adjust. Dynamo earned a couple more promising set pieces, but they lacked effective shots. Despite the attacking nature of both teams, the game was hardly open in the first 25 minutes.
But then things got much more exciting: Timofey Marinkin fired a left-footed shot from the edge of the box into Ovsyannikov's hands, followed by David Ricardo diving to close in on Bitello's free-kick, the ball sailing inches over the crossbar. Finally, the blue-and-whites' drive paid off: Ngamalyo intercepted the ball just outside the box, passed it to Sergeyev, and after his shot and double ricochet, the ball soared into the air, where it was tipped into the goal by Orenburg captain Fahd Mufi.
Dynamo continued to pressure their opponents and create dangerous moments. Tyukavin crossed into the penalty area, Ngamalyo missed the ball, and the onrushing Dmitry Skopintsev fired over the crossbar. A couple of minutes later, Skopintsev himself assisted Tyukavin, who gracefully turned in the semi-circle, controlled the ball, and drove it into the top corner.
And then the visitors scored with their first shot on target: Jordi Thompson, after a few feints, crossed into the penalty area from the right flank. Ruslan Kul passed the ball to Mufi, who fired under the crossbar. Kurban Rasulov touched the ball, but the shot was too powerful.
Orenburg started the second half much more actively and quickly equalized: Gedeon Guzin crossed from the right flank, and Roberto Fernandes was unable to keep up with the fresh Du Queiros, who fired past Rasulov. Rolan Gusev responded with a double substitution of Ngamaleu and Sergeev for Ulvi Babaev and Arthur.
The lively football continued, with the teams exchanging precise attacks for five minutes. Tyukavin played a one-two with Babaev and sent the ball home with a single touch. Du Queiros responded to his double with another shot of his own, scoring from close range after a well-aimed pass from Mufi.
Nicolaas Marichal, Miranchuk, and Yaroslav Gladyshev came out to provide fresh air. The Blue-Whites tried to press home, but the visitors defended relentlessly, preventing them from taking shots from good positions. Arthur attempted only one flick from the edge of the penalty area, but his effort was too weak, and Ovsyannikov managed to return the ball to the net.
