The meeting of the 26th round of the Russian Premier League, held at VTB Arena, ended with a score of 1:1.
Due to medical reasons, Dmitry Skopintsev and El-Mehdi Maouhoub missed the match and were replaced by Roberto Fernandez and Jorge Carrascal. In the support zone, Danil Glebov was paired with Luis Chavez this time.
Already in the first minute Yaroslav Gladyshev took a long pass, dragged the ball to the penalty area and passed it to Carrascal, who was overtaken by Wilmar Barrios. A little later, the Colombian midfielder of Zenit joined the attack, shooting from 25 meters under the crossbar – Andrei Lunev in a beautiful jump transferred the ball to the corner.
In the 18th minute, the guests carried out an attack from the right flank, where Luis Enrique got away from Fernandez, pierced the ball to Gustavo Mantuan - Lunev coped with the Brazilian's shot from several meters, repelled the finishing at point–blank range from Maxim Glushenkov, but he could not manage the second finishing from Pedro – 0:1.
After the conceded goal, Dynamo took possession of the ball, but it was not easy to pass the competently located defense of Zenit. At the end of half an hour of the game, Bitello earned a promising free kick almost in the center of the goal, from which Chavez hit the wall.
Then Gladyshev caught on to a long pass from Jose Caceres and struck from the left – Evgeny Latyshonok caught the ball in the near corner. Finally, in the 41st minute, Bitello and Chavez played the ball on the left flank, and the Mexican crossed it right in the center of the penalty area, where Gladyshev nodded the ball into the corner - 1:1!
In the second half, Dynamo came out clearly in an inspired mood and boldly went forward. Glebov gnawed balls in the center of the field, Gladyshev clung to the front, but there were not enough good shots. The long-range shots of Carrascal and Caceres went too far from the target. However, the Petersburgers could not boast of this either.
In the middle of the half, the time of substitutions began – Fernandez, who received a yellow card, was replaced by Alexander Kutitskiy, and Nicolas Ngamaleu came out instead of Daniil Fomin. Dynamo added to the movement and could well snatch the victory.
In the end, Gladyshev had two super moments: at first, Yaroslav perfectly got away from two defenders, but could not put the ball into the near corner, and at the last minute of the half Bitello took him one-on-one with the Latyshonok, and again the ball passed next to the bar.
