The 11th round match of the Russian Premier League, which took place at the VTB Arena, ended with a 5:3 victory for the visitors.
Juan Caceres returned to the starting lineup after serving the suspension, but otherwise the same ones who started the game in Samara in the previous round entered the field.
The meeting began with a cold shower for the blue and white: in the very first attack, Dmitry Barinov found Dmitry Vorobyov with a long pass, he shot into the penalty area, and Danil Prutsev shot Andrei Lunev's goal from 11 meters.
Dynamo players recovered for about five minutes, after which they began to load the opponent's penalty area. El-Mehdi Mauhub covered Egor Pogostnov with pressure, went out to the goal at an angle, but shot right into Anton Mitryushkin. Next, a dangerous corner from the left flank ended with a very dangerous header by Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov – the ball flew over the crossbar.
The pressure was increasing by the minute. Bitello rolled into the penalty area on the connected Caceres, who removed the ball under the left and shot higher. Immediately, Ivan Sergeev completed the perfect attack, which Danil Glebov started with a heel pass and Mauhub continued, but Mitryushkin miraculously dragged his point-blank shot. In the next episode, Sergeyev already led the goalkeeper of the guests, and his shot from the "ribbon" was knocked out by the defender.
As a result, the blue and white crushed the opponent and shot immediately with a doublet. First, the canopy of Caceres was closed by Sergeyev, who jumped with a "fish", and four minutes later Juan's shot again fell exactly at Ivan's feet, he technically rolled back to Bitello, and the Brazilian did not miss from five meters – 2:1!
Lokomotiv could have recouped quickly, if not for the selfless actions of Zainutdinov and Lunev, who blocked the blows of Alexei Batrakov and Vorobyov from close range. And yet, at the end of the half, the guests won back: Caceres slightly pushed Alexander Rudenko in the penalty area, and Batrakov confidently converted a penalty.
After the break, Dynamo continued to play with an advantage. Bitello cunningly struck from the penalty line for execution – Mitryushkin reflected the ball in a jump. Pogostnov cut the ball after a shot by Bitello, and again the goalkeeper of the red-greens was alert. Glebov famously outplayed Dmitry Skopintsev, who came on as a substitute, and turned the ball into the far corner – a little higher.
Lokomotiv scored again from the standard. This time Batrakov submitted to the goalkeeper, where Nikolai Komlichenko jumped out above all and sent the ball into the net. Anton Miranchuk could soon score for his former club, but, being in an advantageous position, he decided to roll on Sergeyev, who was ahead of the defender.
Shortly after that moment, Konstantin Tyukavin replaced Maukhuba, and Nicolas Marichal replaced Glebov, while Zainutdinov went to the left flank, and Skopintsev moved closer to the attack. Dynamo ran forward and missed a quick counterattack: Montes took the ball to Komlichenko, who threw it to Vorobyov, who ran one-on-one with Lunev and realized his chance.
There was a fiery ending ahead. Five minutes before the end of regular time, Tyukavin was knocked down in the penalty box by Pogostnov, and Maxim Osipenko reduced the gap in the score with a penalty. Yaroslav Gladyshev, who responded to Skopintsev's shot, could have equalized it, but his shot whistled over the crossbar. And immediately Loko put an end to the match – Batrakov transferred the ball to Prutsev, whose shot was transformed into a goal by Rudenko.
