Dynamo lost on the road to Lokomotiv

The meeting of the 21st round of the Russian Premier League, held at the RZD Arena, ended with the victory of the hosts with a score of 2:1.

Before the match, there were certain problems with the defensive line - Marcel Licka had only four nominal defenders at his disposal. As a result, Juan Caceres gave way to Eli Daza on the right flank and moved to the center in a pair with Roberto Fernandez. The mobile attacking line was made up of Arthur, Bitello, Jorge Carrascal and Yaroslav Gladyshev.

In the new stylish uniform from Bosco and BetBoom, the Dynamo players immediately rushed to score and quickly created a super moment. Carrascal shot from the penalty line, Ilya Lantratov parried it to the side, Luis Chavez hit the left post, and after the second rebound from Bitello the hosts were saved by Gerzino Nyamsi. The next one to take aim was Daniil Fomin, who almost hit the right corner from 13 meters.

But near his own goal, the captain of the white-blues saved the net after a shot by Danila Godyaev from a great position. A little earlier, Andrei Lunev reacted to a ricochet from Bitello's leg, which was stopping a long-range shot by Artem Timofeev.

The game without the center of the field continued further. A cool quick attack by Dynamo ended with Dmitry Skopintsev hitting the post again, this time the right one. When the frame of the goal could not save Lantratov, Alexander Silyanov came to his aid and took the ball from the goal line after Arthur's strike.

Lokomotiv also had its chances. Nyamsi headed the ball near the post after a cross from the corner. Then Alexey Batrakov twisted into the far corner – Lunev in a beautiful jump transferred the ball to the corner. Unfortunately, Batrakov crossed the ball right on Dmitry Vorobyov's head, and the forward sent it into the far corner – 0:1.

Immediately, Dynamo created another great moment: Carrascal gracefully rolled the ball back to Bitello with his heel, and the Brazilian from the goalkeeper's line threw the ball over both Lantratov and the crossbar. And yet, at the last minute of the first half, the perfect combination was played by Chavez, Gladyshev, Bitello and Carrascal, who rolled the ball to Arthur, who simply had no right to miss – 1:1!

In the very first attack after the break, Lantratov had to turn on all his skills to repel Bitello's blow from 15 meters. Dynamo continued to actively press rivals, forcing them to make mistakes more and more often. Plus, due to an injury, the leader of the red-greens Sergey Pinyaev left the field, which reduced the variability of their attacks.

The frenzied pace of the game began to take its toll, and many players found themselves on the lawn: Vorobyov, Maxim Nenakhov and Skopintsev needed a little help. Arthur could not continue the match at all, landing unsuccessfully on his shoulder after Nenakhov's foul – El-Mehdi Maouhoub appeared on the field instead. These stops knocked down the attacking impulses of the teams, and the game began to break up into episodes.

And then the hosts scored again from the set piece. Timofeev won a long throw into the penalty area, then the ball bounced off Caceres' head to Silyanov, and he sent it into the net from three meters. The referees watched replays for offside for more than 5 minutes, but in the end the goal was allowed, and as many as 10 minutes were added to the second half.

In the end, Diego Laxalt, Denis Makarov and Nicolas Ngamaleu were called up to refresh the game ahead. Dynamo laid siege to the penalty area of Lokomotiv, but the blows of Maouhoub, Bitello and Fomin did not reach the goal. As a result, we suffer the first defeat in 10 rounds.

Dynamo with 39 points are in fifth place in the standings. After a pause for the national team matches, Dynamo will host Orenburg on March 29. Buy tickets to VTB Arena on our website.
