In the first match of the Media x Pro Cup pre-season tournament, held at VTB Arena, the blue and white beat 2DROPS with a score of 3:1. The main time of the match ended with a dry victory for Dynamo, and the only goal brought success to the guests in the shootout.
In his first match as Dynamo head coach, Valery Karpin fielded a mixed team. The place in the goal was taken by Kurban Rasulov, Stanislav Bessmertniy and Ivan Lepskiy, who returned from the loans, came out in defense together with the newcomer of the blue and whites Maxim Osipenko. Bitello tried on the captain's armband, and El-Mehdi Maouhoub appeared at the forefront of the attack.
The start of the match took place in a chaotic struggle, after which the hosts took full advantage and created three scoring chances in a couple of minutes: Dmitry Landakov parried Maouhoub's and Nicolas Ngamaleu's shots from the center of the penalty area, and Egor Smelov almost hit the far corner with a long shot.
Then Denis Makarov dribbled past three defenders, but stirred up the net only from the outside of the goal. The guests got nervous and almost scored an own goal – the defender inadvertently gave a pass to Landakov, and the goalkeeper knocked the ball into the post in a tackle. Finally, in the 25th minute, Dynamo opened the scoring - Bitello made a cross from a free kick, and Lepskiy calmly sent the ball to the top corner with his head.

Immediately after the goal, a real downpour hit the stadium and it became more difficult for the teams to create. At the same time, the advantage from Dynamo has not gone away. In one of the episodes, Makarov found himself alone in front of the goal, dribbled past the goalkeeper and rolled the ball to Maouhub, but the defender prevented him from hitting the net at the last moment. After the corner kick of the Moroccan striker shook the crossbar.
In the 41st minute, 2DROTS organized the first truly dangerous attack: Godfried Gauchao threw Artur Gazdanov into a breakthrough on the right flank, received a reverse pass and shot on target from 10 meters without interference – Rasulov made a great save.
In the second half, the Dynamo completely changed its squad, with the exception of the goalkeeper position. In the first minutes, Juan Caceres was the center of attention – at first he hit over the crossbar after Dmitry Alexandrov's pass, and a little later he removed his opponent with a beautiful feint. Next, the goalkeepers exchanged the most beautiful saves – Landakov outplayed Viktor Okishor in close combat, and Rasulov parried Mikhail Chernomyrdin's curled shot.

In the 54th minute, Dynamo doubled the advantage, and the player who returned from the lease distinguished himself again. Okishor great pass brought Daniil Lesovoy one-on-one with goalkeeper, and he coolly realized his chance. Five minutes later, a brace could have happened, but this time Daniil's shot from the center of the penalty area went a little higher.
After a short break, the blue and whites again pressed the opponent to the goal. And if Okishor's cunning shot went near the bar, Yaroslav Gladyshev perfectly spun the ball from behind the penalty area, making the score big. Soon Okishor did not use another moment, hitting next to the bar after an accurate shot from Caceres. Already at the last minute of regular time, Artem Ntumba ran off one-on-one with Rasulov, dribbled past our goalkeeper, but he didn't have enough strength for an accurate shot.
After that, Valery Karpin was replaced on the Dynamo bench by former 2DROTS coach Dmitry Kuznetsov, who immediately gave instructions to Pavel Derevyanko, who took the field instead of Lesovoy. In the remaining time, Rasulov made his third memorable save of the match, deflecting a point-blank shot from Alexander Stepanov.
The bullitality series ended the meeting, in which 2DROTS turned out to be stronger, earning one goal for it. Leon Zaydenzal scored a shootout, Okishor and Alexandrov were accurate from penalty, and Rasulov deflected one penalty.
