— CSKA has become a real kryptonite for Dynamo this season. This time we completely dominated the match, but we couldn't score. What is still missing in the matches with the army team?
— Probably, the concentration is in the final third of the field, that's why we can't score. In principle, we are doing everything right, but still something is missing, maybe a little more luck.
— At the beginning of the season Marcel Licka said that you don't always show yourself in big matches and you need to work on mentality. Wednesday was just such a match, and this time he praised you. What have you improved in this season?
— I think that's exactly what Marcel was talking about, and added – in mentality.
— After Konstantin Tyukavin's injury, the team switched to a game plan without a clean central striker. How comfortable are you in this trio with Bitello and Jorge Carrascal?
— It is clear that I am very comfortable with Kostya, because we have been playing together since the Academy. I understand him perfectly. But Bitello and Carrascal are also high–level footballers. We train together every day, and I understand how they will act at one time or another. I enjoy playing with them.
— The match with Rubin may be your hundredth for Dynamo. How important is this milestone for you?
— I think the fact that I have been entrusted with playing a hundred matches for a great club is a reward for my hard work.
— One hundred matches is a serious indicator. Fans no longer perceive you as a young player and expect you to become the leader of the team.
— I will try to work in this direction on the football field so that everyone can see everything. But the most important thing is for the team to achieve results.
— In 99 matches, of which you have played less than half at the start, you have 20 goals and 14 assists. How do you evaluate the indicators?
— More or less, although, in fact, it could have been much more. There should even be more, as there hasn't been enough lately to score more often. I hope the football luck will return and the goals that I have to score will come.
— Which of the 20 goals do you remember the most?
— Probably the very first in the cup match in Stavropol. And the most important one is yet to come.
— Recently, Dynamo TV released a video in which you commented on one of Alexander Ovechkin's anniversary goals. How do you like this experience?
— It was cool, I liked it, but in the future I definitely won't become a commentator. I wouldn't say it was difficult, but I realized that it wasn't mine.
— Do you often watch RPL matches on TV? Who is your favorite commentator in Russia?
— I watch a lot, almost all the matches. I will single out Dmitry Shnyakin from the commentators.
— Do you follow hockey at all? Have you ever been to Dynamo matches?
— Yes, I came to home matches several times. I was there last season, but I haven't had a chance yet this year.
— Ovechkin's record is now unlikely to be broken by anyone in the foreseeable future. And what record would you like to break yourself?
— I don't have a goal to break any particular record, the most important thing is that the team wins.
— But you already share one record with Tyukavin – in terms of the number of goals for Dynamo in the Russian Cup. Will you beat him already this season?
— I will try.
— Ovechkin went to the football field with you, and what kind of sport would you like to perform in if you get the opportunity?
— In hockey, I would like to play with Ovechkin when he returns to Dynamo.
— On Sunday at the match we will celebrate the 102nd anniversary of Dynamo. What do you wish the team and the fans?
— I would like to thank the fans for their support. Let them come and support us as actively as in the cup match with CSKA. We have been playing well lately, but there is no result. The most important thing is that this black streak passes faster, because after it there always comes a white one. I hope that it will start already with Rubin and will continue until the end of the season.
