From November 6 to 8, the Caspian Dynamo Academy Cup in memory of Honored coach of Russia Abdulmanap Magomedovich Nurmagomedov among the teams born in 2014 will be held in Kaspiysk at Anzhi Arena.
Six branches of the Dynamo Academy will compete for the trophy – from Moscow, Veliky Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, Voronezh, Altai Krai and Dagestan – and two teams from Makhachkala: Dynamo and GBU RDYUSSH. The teams are divided into two groups, the top two advance to the semifinals. The final and awarding ceremony will be held on November 8.
The tournament is named after Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, the father and mentor of Khabib Nurmagomedov, the founder of the Highlander club, where dozens of masters of sports, prize–winners and champions of Russia, Europe and the world in combat sambo and mixed martial arts grew up.
– Our tournament is named after Abdulmanap Magomedovich Nurmagomedov, an outstanding athlete and coach who devoted his life to sports and education of young generations. He often repeated that first of all it is necessary to educate a person, and the champion will grow up on his own. These words are close to the philosophy of the Dynamo Academy: real success consists not only of victories, but also of character, discipline, respect for others and the ability to work in a team. For some guys, this is an opportunity to prove themselves for the first time at an away tournament, for others it is a chance to return to the field and compete for the result after last year's competition," says Alexander Yuryevich Kuznetsov, director of the Dynamo Academy.
The Dagestan branch of the Dynamo Academy named after L. I. Yashin hosts the tournament. He works in Kaspiysk on the basis of Anzhi Arena, more than 200 boys from all over the region are engaged here. In January 2025, with the support of PJSC SOLLERS, a boarding school was opened in the branch, and now coaches can invite talented children from other cities. One of the graduates of the branch, goalkeeper Kurban Rasulov, is already entering the starting lineup of the Dynamo main team.
– For our company, the support of children's and youth sports has always been and remains one of the most important priorities. Investments in the younger generation are the most correct and long–term investments in the future of our country. It is in sports that the qualities that are so necessary in life and in the profession are laid: the will to win, the ability to work in a team, discipline and respect for the opponent. For many guys, this tournament can be the first step towards a great sports career," said Adil Shamilevich Shirinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC SOLLERS.
The organizer of the tournament is ANO DO "Dynamo Football Academy named after L. I. Yashin". The Cup is held with the support of PJSC SOLLERS and PJSC VTB Bank.
The tournament is organized with the support of the Russian Sports Foundation, established in 2025 on behalf of the President of Russia for the development of physical culture and sports. The founder of the foundation is the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, among the priority areas is the support of mass, student, youth and adaptive sports.
