Dynamo in the first part of the RPL 2025/26 season
By many key metrics, the Blue-Whites are among the league's top five, but problems converting chances and a high turnover rate have prevented them from climbing higher in the league.
As the table above shows, our team ranks third from bottom in terms of goals scored to XG (expected goals) ratio with a score of -9.42. In terms of goals conceded to OXG (expected goals against), we're second from bottom, behind Sochi. Therefore, our goal difference could have been as much as 11 goals better! It's also worth mentioning that Dynamo has seven shots on the woodwork — only Krasnodar and CSKA have more.
In terms of actual goals scored (27), Dynamo is tied for fifth, and in terms of goals conceded (26), they're 11th.
The team created 118 scoring chances, fourth in the league, but their conversion rate of 23% leaves much to be desired, ranking them 12th. Dynamo took 264 shots (only Krasnodar had more), of which 101 were successful (Lokomotiv and Zenit had more).
The white-and-blues are one of the most disciplined teams in the league: 244 fouls and 36 yellow cards over 18 matches are fourth from bottom, and their lack of red cards is truly unique.
Our team strives to impose its style on its opponents, which resulted in an average ball possession of 55% and 11,045 successful technical and tactical actions (fourth-best in the RPL).
Dynamo ranks fifth in the league for accurate passes (6,764) and second in accurate key passes (64), progressive passes (1,241), and passes into the penalty area (313).
They're also quite good at pressing: 339 team pressing attempts (only Rostov and Dynamo Makhachkala have more) and a 56% success rate (tied with Krasnodar for the top spot).
The Blue-and-Whites made 258 crosses (the most in the league), 75 of which were accurate (only Orenburg has more), and also took 97 corners (third in the league).
As for duels, there's room for improvement: of 3,005 duels (sixth place), Dynamo won less than half (49%). And there have been too many turnovers so far – 1,196 (only Makhachkala has committed more).
At the same time, our team is excellent in tackles (284 successful tackles – fourth place in the RPL) and rebounds (1,199 – only Makhachkala has more).
