Konstantin Tyukavin who scored a brace against Sparta Prague commented on the first friendly match at the second VTB training camp in Austria.
– Before the match, you spoke with Daniil Fomin and three minutes after the kick-off you already scored a goal from his assist. Did you discuss your interaction on the pitch?
– He told me to claim for his assist behind the backs of defenders. This was a right combination. We tackled the ball, Fomin received a pass, and I immediately ran behind the defenders’ backs. He made an accurate pass and I scored. It’s good.
– Did you decide to score the second goal in the same way?
– We just work on such goal-scoring combinations in training sessions. Especially yesterday, we spent time running out in fast counterattacks. Sly found me well, I ran forward and scored a goal. It was a prepared combination.
– In 10 days, Sparta will play in the Champions League qualifying round. Was it difficult to face the second finish team from Czech Republic?
– They are a good team, a strong opponent. It was a little hot today, and we were pretty loaded. It's a pity that we didn't win, conceding a goal in the last minutes.
– Did you not convert many chances because of the heat?
– No, why is it because of the heat? Because of fatigue, most likely.
