We finish summing up the results of the 2024/25 season and recall its most striking events.
The most productive season
In the season that ended, Dynamo became the only RPL team that scored more than 60 goals. The blue and white team has 61 goals in 30 rounds. There were more in Russian history only in the transition campaign of the 2011/12 season (66 goals in 44 meetings) and the 1993 championship - 65 goals, but in 34 games.
At the same time, our team has updated the club record for the number of consecutive matches with goals scored in the national championships. The series ended in the 30th round in Krasnodar, when the blue and white team failed to hit the opponent's goal for the first time in 23 games.
Dynamo players claimed to be in the final three of the RPL until the last round, but were content with fifth place, having scored, as a year ago, 56 points.

Newbies
In the summer-autumn transfer window, Andrei Lunev, El-Mehdi Mauhub and Arthur Gomez joined the blue and white squad. Lunev immediately became the main goalkeeper of the team and made his debut so successfully that he was recognized by VTB fans as the player of the month in July and August. In his first season in our team, Andrei recorded seven dry matches.
Mauhub, who arrived after the Olympic Games, started no less brightly, where his Moroccan team won the bronze award. In the Russian Cup, El-Mehdi scored 5 goals in 6 matches, making a hat-trick in 66 minutes in an away match with Krylia Sovetov (6:3). Brazilian Arthur also managed to prove himself, scoring 7 points in the RPL and the Russian Cup using the goal + pass system (4 goals and 3 assists), but a serious injury forced him to finish the season ahead of schedule.
In winter, the right-back of the national team of Paraguay Juan Jose Caceres and the former captain of Rostov Danil Glebov moved to Dynamo. The Paraguayan successfully closed the right side, often became the leader of the team in terms of the number of technical and tactical actions and gave two assists in 13 matches. Glebov also scored 2 points – a ball in the goal of Spartak, an assist in a guest meeting with Krylia Sovetov and one award for the best player of the match in the RPL.

Konstantin Tyukavin continues to collect awards
The Dynamo forward, who collected all possible individual awards in the 2023/24 season, continued to replenish his personal collection of prizes. In November 2024, the 70th issue of Dynamo became the winner of the Gentleman of the Year award, which is awarded to football players for their behavior on the field, attitude to partners, fans and journalists. The solemn ceremony was held on December 4, 2024 at the BetBoom Dynamo House on Red Square.
In April 2025, Tyukavin received another award - "Athlete of the Year" according to the Bookmakers Rating award, beating Alexander Ovechkin, Lokomotiv midfielder Alexei Batrakov and tennis player Mirra Andreeva in the voting of the best scorer in the history of the regular NHL championships.
This award gave positive emotions to Kostya, who underwent surgery in March after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee. Another good news was the extension of the contract with the Dynamo pupil until 2030.

The Progress of Yaroslav Gladyshev
Yaroslav Gladyshev made a significant step forward in the 2024/25 season. After Tyukavin's serious injury, it was the 22-year-old striker who took on the role of the main finisher of the blue and white attacks and scored 11 points in the goal+pass system (7 goals and 4 assists) in the spring, becoming, according to many football experts and fans, the brightest RPL player in the second part of the championship.
At the end of April, Yaroslav won the award for the best player of the month in the RPL. After the winter break, he was recognized as the player of the match three times and overcame the important mark of one hundred matches played for Dynamo, becoming the fifth player in the current blue-and-white squad to reach this milestone.
Thanks to such a game, Gladyshev first received a call-up to the main Russian national team for the June training camp and made his debut for the national team in a friendly match with the Nigerian national team.

The best RPL assistant
In this category, the winner was the midfielder of the blue and white Bitello. He has 11 assists in 26 games. Of these, 6 are transfers from standard positions and 5 from the game. Also, the Dynamo Brazilian scored 3 goals in the RPL and scored a total of 14 points using the goal + pass system, closing the top 10 of the league.
In his first full season, Bitello proved himself to be a versatile footballer, playing not only effectively, but also effectively. He conducted the blue-and-white attack and, at the first opportunity, looked for a free partner with an accurate transfer. The bright game of the Dynamo "ten" was noted by football experts, who recognized him three times as the player of the match in the RPL.

A unique achievement of Leshchuk
The addressee of one of Bitello's assists turned out to be Dynamo goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk quite unexpectedly. Having scored a goal in an away match with Akhmat (1:1) in the 17th round of the RPL, Leshchuk became the first goalkeeper in the history of the Russian Premier League who managed to distinguish himself from the game. At the 95th minute, Igor ran into the Grozny penalty area and closed the exact transfer from Bitello's corner, thanks to which the blue and white team escaped defeat and took one point from the capital of Chechnya.
This case is unique for the whole of Russian football. The last goalkeeper's goal in the Russian championship happened back in 2001, when Andrei Novosadov from Torpedo-ZIL converted a penalty in a match with the Voronezh Torch. After him, none of the gate guards scored even from an 11-meter point.

Change of head coach
On May 1, 2025, four rounds before the end of the championship, Dynamo announced the termination of the contract with Marcel Licka. Under the guidance of a Czech specialist, Dynamo played 78 matches, in which it won 40 victories, suffered 21 defeats and drew 17 times with a goal difference of 161:119, winning bronze medals in the 2023/24 season.
The acting head coach was the pupil of the club Roland Gusev, who won three victories in a row, repeating the achievement of Sandro Schwartz. One of the victories was obtained in the oldest derby of the country against Spartak (2:0).

Success of Dynamo youth
The 2024 season was a triumph for Dynamo-2. Pavel Alpatov's team won its group in Division "B" of the Second League by a large margin, thanks to which it received a promotion in the class. In 2025, the Dynamo "deuce" plays in the "Silver" group of the Second League A, where it has already won a number of landmark victories and is worthily fighting for the Gold with more experienced teams.
Dynamo-2 players are not only regularly involved in the training process of the base and get into the application for matches, but also make a difference. In 2024, five Academy students made their debut for the first team at once, and Viktor Okishor became the author of the youngest double in the history of Dynamo, scoring two goals in a home cup game with Krylia Sovetov (5:1). In the same match, 19-year-old striker Denis Bokov scored his first goal for the base.

A show match with Amcal and Derevyanko's proposal
Last season Dynamo continued to interact with the clubs of the Media League. On November 17, 2024, blue and white at VTB Arena played with the winner of the Medialiga Cup Amkalom. The show match was preceded by a rich entertainment program, which included an autograph session of Dynamo defender Dmitry Skopintsev and Amcal President Herman El Classico, as well as a powerful musical part (OG Buda, Cream Soda). That day, the club's ambassadors Pavel Derevyanko (joined the starting lineup in the center of the attack) and Evgenia Medvedeva (received the captain's armband at the end of the meeting) also played for Dynamo.
Separately, it should be said about Pavel Derevyanko, who not only supports the blue and white, but also regularly participates in various club activities. In January, Pavel spent a whole week at a training camp in Qatar, took part in grueling training sessions, tried himself as a team administrator and massage therapist, and also shared the secrets of acting.
At the last home match of the season, Derevyanko proposed to his beloved Zoya on the edge of the VTB Arena field, thanks to which a new family was formed in front of thousands of blue and white fans. By the way, flowers were served to him by Konstantin Tyukavin, with whom Pavel later starred in a promo video dedicated to the extension of the Dynamo forward's contract.

Honoring Shunin at the Cherry Forest family match
On May 18, 2025, Dynamo played its last home game of the season against Akron. The main hero of the matchday was goalkeeper Anton Shunin, who spent his entire career in a blue and white T-shirt and recently announced his retirement. Before the game, Anton took part in planting trees in Petrovsky Park, gave an autograph session at the stadium, made the first shot at the ball and went to the fan stand. And after the final whistle, the whole team arranged a farewell corridor for Anton and held a large-scale celebration of the goalkeeper, who addressed the stadium with a touching farewell speech.
The match with Akron was held as part of the annual festival "Cherry Forest" from the technical partner of the Bosco club. Dynamo entered the field in an exclusive orange-and-purple uniform set and received strong support from BoscoFamily friends, who, after planting cherry trees, went to VTB Arena and drove the team forward from the first to the last minute. In memory of the match, every football player and member of the Dynamo coaching and administrative staff took a cherry seedling with them.
