The head coach of the blue and whites Marcel Licka in a flash interview with Match TV channel told about his expectations from the cup derby with Spartak.
— Why did you decide to put up the same starting lineup today as three days ago?
— I had options, who else could I release from the first minutes, but based on the last games, I think this is the optimal composition. We played in the championship on Saturday, we are playing in the Cup today, and I don't see any problems to repeat our good performance.
— How did you spend these two days of preparation?
— We tried more to restore the players, corrected some things on theory, worked on set pieces. The main thing was to prepare the team so that they would enter the field fresh and with a clean head.
— This season Dynamo has not beaten Spartak yet. What did you change before this match?
— At the group stage of the Cup there was a big rotation of squads, many young players played. There was a match in the championship in which we led, then we played back in the minority and could have taken the victory. The teams know each other well enough, and the skill of the players on the field will decide a lot. Every game is a new story, and today the mental attitude will play a big role. It's great that there will be a lot of spectators in the stands – this is a great motivation for both us and Spartak.
— Do you have a feeling that today is the most important match of the season?
— It is clear that this game is of great importance, but this is not the final yet. We need to win today in order to get to the final of the Way of the Regions and try to get to the super final.
