Saturday marks the 77th anniversary of the famous Dynamo midfielder, former team captain Oleg Dolmatov.

Oleg Vasilyevich was born on November 29, 1948 in the Chelyabinsk region. He started playing football in Krasnoyarsk, where after graduating from the youth school "Yunost" he began playing for the local "Motorist". After playing five years in the Top League for Alma-Ata "Kairat", Dolmatov moved to Dynamo Moscow in 1972, to which he gave nine years, six of them as team captain. During this time, he played 198 matches, scored 11 goals and won three trophies: he became the champion of the USSR (1976), the winner of the USSR Cup (1977) and the USSR Super Cup (1977).

In 1971, Oleg Vasilyevich first received a call to the USSR national team, for which he played until 1977. In total, he played 14 matches for the national team and became the silver medalist of the European Championship (1972).

After completing his career in 1979, Dolmatov worked fruitfully as a coach in different teams of the country. In this role, he became the silver medalist of the Russian championship with CSKA Moscow.
