Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a press conference was held on the signing of an agreement between Dynamo Moscow football club and BETCITY betting company.
Alexander Ivlev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dynamo Moscow, said: I would like to wish our club success in its new projects, which will help our fans rejoice in new achievements. I would also like to wish success to BETCITY, as this agreement will provide an opportunity for you, among others, to implement new projects together. Besides money, you bring emotion to sport, so we are looking forward to a long-term, positive partnership.
— Can you tell us about the amount of the contract with Dynamo Moscow?
Elena Serova, CEO of BETCITY, said: We don't disclose the financial terms of the agreement, but I would like to point out that the contract price isn't always about money. It's about mutual obligations, media bonuses, and various marketing initiatives. For us, this is definitely a long-term investment that will benefit us.
— Bookmakers are currently going through difficult times. What prompted you to sign such a large contract?
Elena Serova: On the one hand, it seems like we're not following the general trend, but we see it differently. A crisis is the best time for proactive business action, so we're developing and continuing to secure sponsorship deals. Sports, after all, can't be put on hold. People continue to go to matches, watch games, and participate in various events. People love sports, they develop, and we're very happy to be part of this culture. We hope that joint projects will only further this.
— Dynamo actively collaborates with the running community. Are there any plans for similar collaborations with other sports?
Dynamo CEO Pavel Pivovarov: Of course, projects to develop interactions in the lifestyle sector involve working with communities of various interests. We have a large scope of work planned with our partners in this area, so expect new projects, which we'll announce as they launch.
– Is it planned to support the Dynamo Academy within the framework of the agreement?
Elena Serova: The younger generation is the foundation of our football, and we are glad to be a part of it. We have included a corresponding contribution in our sponsorship agreement and we will be very happy if the Academy will produce as many talented football players as possible.
– There were many rumors about the completion of Dynamo's cooperation with the previous bookmaker. Can you tell us whose initiative it was?
Pavel Pivovarov: We will fully work out the contract with our current bookmaker. Together with BetBoom, we have launched many iconic unique projects. I am very grateful to them for agreeing to hold this event, because our exclusive contract is still valid, but our good relations allowed us to do it. We appreciate what happened during our cooperation with BetBoom, but from the new season we will move forward with a new partner.
– Is there any understanding on the plans for the summer – will the Fraternal Cup be held?
Pavel Pivovarov: We are planning to hold commercial matches in the off-season, and we will report on their launch together with other clubs. We will announce it in the near future.
