Team status
In the first international break of 2025, 9 people left the team, most of whom returned to the club's location in high spirits. Daniil Fomin and Eli Dasa scored their debut goals for the national teams, Fabian Balbuena, Juan Caceres and Jorge Carrascal helped Paraguay and Colombia take another step towards qualifying for the World Cup, and Luis Chavez won the trophy – the Mexican national team won the CONCACAF Nations League.
During this time, Danil Glebov, Nicolas Marichal and Alexander Kutitskiy recovered from injuries and returned to full training. Thus, Marcel Licka on Saturday will not be able to rely only on Milan Majstorovic, Konstantin Tyukavin and Arthur, who injured his shoulder in the last match with Lokomotiv.
About the opponent
Orenburg loudly started the season with a victory over Spartak, but then things began to decline, and in October David Deograsia was replaced as head coach by ex-red and white coach Vladimir Sliskovich. However, this did not have a quick effect – before the winter break, the team did not win a single RPL match, firmly settling in last place in the table.
Even in winter, two leaders left Orenburg – defender Mathias Peres and midfielder Mohammad Ghorbani. Only central defender Alexei Tataev from Alanya and forward Maxim Saveliev from Yenisei were acquired.
As a result, the spring part started for Orenburg with two defeats from Spartak and Rostov, bringing its winless streak in the championship to 19 matches! Only in the last round, Orenburg were able to beat Fakel in the added time thanks to Sergey Bozhin's own goal. However, the gap from 14th place is still 7 points.
— We had problems not with the scheme of the game, but with psychology. I think the guys realized that there was very little "air" left, and they reacted very well to this in the match with Fakel. We won at the expense of character, heart and head. I hope that this was the spark from which the flame will now ignite. I can promise the fans that we will fight to the end so that the team stays in the RPL, — Sliskovich said after the match.
Only two Orenburg players left for the national teams: Bosnian midfielder Ivan Basic, who will miss Saturday's match due to disqualification, and goalkeeper Bogdan Moskvichev, who flew with the Russian youth team to Colombia. By the way, the participation in the game of the main goalkeeper of the team Nikolai Sysuev remains in doubt – he missed the match with Fakel due to damage. The injured Gabriel Florentin and Justin Cuero will definitely not play.

Intersections
Marcel and Mario Licka started coaching in Russia with Orenburg – in 2020 it was headed by our current head coach, and in 2023 his younger brother joined him.
Defender of Orenburg Danila Prokhin in 2022-2023 played for Rostov together with Danil Glebov.
Georgy Zotov, another Orenburg defense player, crossed paths with Denis Makarov at Rubin in the 2020/21 season.
For Marcel Licka and Vladimir Sliskovich, this will be the second personal meeting – last season Dynamo lost to Spartak in the Russian Cup draw (0:2).
History of meetings
In the Russian championships, the teams met nine times, and so far a balance has been established: four wins for each side and one draw – in the first round, the teams parted in peace in Orenburg (2:2).
In these matches, Konstantin Tyukavin, Brian Mansilla and Vladimir Pisarsky scored two goals each. Also from the current squad of the blue and whites scored El-Mehdi Maouhoub, Luis Chavez, Nicolas Ngamaleu and Roberto Fernandez.

The judging panel
