Team status
Dynamo have been training since June 16 under the guidance of the new head coach Valery Karpin, who has already given a big press conference after his appointment. After the expiration of the contracts, Fabian Balbuena and Eli Dasa left the team, and the first newcomer of the blue and white was the central defender Maxim Osipenko, who worked with Karpin in Rostov.
Konstantin Tyukavin and Arthur are still recovering from injuries, and Luis Chavez, who came out with the Mexican national team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup playoffs, is still unavailable. But a whole group of rented football players returned to the team: Ivan Lepskiy, Stanislav Bessmertniy, Luka Gagnidze, Danil Lesovoy and Ulvi Babaev. And the actor Pavel Derevyanko, who has already entered the field in Dynamo form for the game with Amkal, will also get into the application for the match.
Among other news, we note the extension of contracts with Konstantin Tyukavin and Yaroslav Gladyshev until 2030, as well as with Kurban Rasulov – until 2028.
The game will be played according to the usual rules of football, but after the main time a bullitality series will be played. In it, a lot is drawn before each new pair of players, which determines whether they will take a penalty or perform a kind of shootout. The winner of the series will add one goal to his score. The winner of the tournament will be determined after the meeting between CSKA and Amkal, which will be held at VTB Arena on June 27.
About the opponent
2DROTS traces its history back to the summer of 2016, when Yevgeny Babenko and Nikita Panasyuk started shooting football challenges with pupils of Moscow football academies, and then created a team. She quickly gained popularity, which was influenced by successful performances in tournaments – they have 4 finals of the Media Football League, of which they won two.
It was noteworthy in 2023, when 2DROTS played in a friendly match with the RPL team for the first time in March, defeating CSKA (2:1). In July, the Samurai became the winners of the BetBoom Moscow Celebrity Cup, the final of which was held just at the VTB Arena, and received the right to play with Dynamo. In November, the blue and whites took over thanks to goals from Roberto Fernandez and Leon Zeidenzal (2:1).
The team has been participating in the Russian Cup for three seasons now. In the 2023/24 season, they were able to defeat three opponents, after which they were stopped by Khimki. In the last draw, the team stopped at the second round, losing to Spartak Kostroma.
In the last season of the 2DROTS Media League, for the first time, they failed to reach the playoffs, losing in a play-off match to the Lotus team. After that, the team changed head coach – Dmitry Kuznetsov, who worked for 4 years, was replaced by Dmitry Smirnov, who played in the 2000s for Torpedo-ZIL, Spartak, Terek, Arsenal and other teams. Last season, he was an assistant to Vasily Berezutsky in the Azerbaijani Sabah and won the National Cup with it.
Quite a lot of football players who have played at a professional level play as part of 2DROTS. Among them, for example, former Rostov football players Danila Proshlyakov and Artem Ntumba, attacking midfielder Vladislav Oslonovsky and former Ural goalkeeper Dmitry Landakov. There are also players with Dynamo past: Alan Gatagov, Artur Yusupov and Anton Terekhov played for the team in the current season of the Media League.
