Team status
After the failure in the first test match with Torpedo, Dynamo won three victories in a row over Orenburg (2:1), Pari NN (2:1) and Dynamo-2 (10:0). Konstantin Tyukavin, Daniil Fomin and Ivan Sergeev scored a double in the match with the second team, and Yaroslav Gladyshev made an assistant hat-trick, a goal and a shot, after which the defender cut the ball into his own goal.
Juan Caceres and Luis Chavez continue to rest after the World Cup and will return to the club's location closer to the start of the season.
About the opponent
Last season, the Army Men finished fifth in the Russian Premier League and lost to Spartak in the Russian Cup Regional Path final. Ultimately, the club's management decided to retain 39-year-old Dmitry Igdisamov, who replaced Fabio Celestini as head coach in May, at the helm.
There have been no significant changes to the squad so far: the Army Men have parted ways with two foreign players, Sekou Koita and Daniel Ruiz, while Jamalutdin Abdulkadyrov and Artem Shumansky have returned from loan spells. However, the coaching staff has received reinforcements, including physical training coach Petru Lăzărescu, who spent four years at Dynamo, and Russian national team goalkeeping coach Vitaly Kafanov. He will also be working with Igor Akinfeev, who has extended his contract with his hometown club for another year.
The Red-Blues haven't won any friendly matches yet: two 75-minute games against Orenburg ended 0-2 and 2-2, and before that, there were two draws against Arsenal Tula (1-1) and Shinnik Yaroslavl (1-1).
On Tuesday, in addition to the match in Novogorsk, the Army Men will play Lokomotiv at RZD Arena in the evening, so Igdisamov could spare some of his top players for the morning game.
