Before the Dynamo – Rubin Russian Championship match, the legendary blue and white striker and famous coach Mikhail Gershkovich presented his book "I See the Ball" and talked to fans who had the opportunity to receive a collector's edition with the author's signature.
Mikhail Danilovich was one of the brightest Soviet football players of the 60-70s of the XX century. He had a unique technique, was a master of unexpected solutions, a recognized scorer and a direct participant in historical events.: together with Dynamo, he became the champion and winner of the USSR Cup, and also played in the Cup Winners' Cup final.
In his book, he shares memories of the dizzying career of a football player and reflections on the present and future of football. In it you will meet Lev Yashin and Eduard Streltsov, Valery Voronin and Konstantin Beskov, Pele and Johan Cruyff, as well as many other legendary football people.
– I told about my football life the way I remember how I feel, knowing full well, of course, that football is such an incomprehensible thing that it will not be possible to close all debts to him in any case. I tried to avoid pathos and excessive heroization. Easily and with pleasure I dispensed with "yellowness" and "blackness". And also, if possible, without negativity, because the essence of playing football is pleasure, joy, happiness for everyone," the author's welcoming speech says.
