The acting head coach of Dynamo Moscow, Rolan Gusev, answered journalists' questions after the victorious derby with Spartak (2:0).
— In the first half, Dynamo did not allow Spartak to show anything. Tell us about the preparation of the team, what did you pay special attention to?
— We analyzed Spartak well, we played with them many times, we understood that they don't like organized teams. We tried not to give them free space. We made some changes in defense - Fomin and Glebov fell into the defense in the lower block. There were worries whether the guys would be able to rebuild in such a short time, but they coped. I am very grateful to the guys that they heard us and accepted the ideas that we conveyed to them. Their attitude to the game gave such a result.
— We saw the video from the locker room in Samara. How did you manage to maintain this attitude throughout the week? How satisfied are you with the emotional component?
— I told the guys that it should be inside, in the head. It should not just be a match against some opponent, these matches are more than football, more than a game. It is difficult to choose words before such matches. There must be a special inner state when you go to such matches. And the guys heard us and did what they had to do.
— Today you did a great thing for the fans by beating Spartak. It was noticeable that the game became more intense, the ball began to go faster, and you also attracted good luck. A lot happened, but what did not work out?
— Not everything worked out in the second half – when you really want to win, sometimes you start playing to hold the score. Spartak had free zones, and it was necessary to attack a little more actively. We really wanted to win, so we played carefully, according to the score. On the other hand, many people want to see beautiful football in such matches, but from the point of view of psychology and emotional state, the victory was first of all important for the guys.
— What did you say in the locker room after such a successful first half? Why did they move back at the beginning of the second half?
— We told the guys that we need to keep playing in the same spirit and try to score more. It was obvious that Karra and Moumi were tired, and it was necessary to refresh the game. Again, we acted carefully, and I think that first of all this is due to the pressure of the result. They really wanted to win and were afraid to take risks.

— How would you explain Yaroslav Gladyshev's progress? Is this due to the fact that Konstantin Tyukavin has been out for a long time?
— I would not associate it with the fact that Kostya fell out. First of all, this is the work of the Gladi in the training process. This is a person who always works at 120 percent. Through his work, luck comes to him.
— You played your second match as acting head coach. How many of your ideas are you implementing, or are you currently working more on the notes of Marcel Licka?
— You can see that the team plays completely differently. Of course, the players still have some individual habits, but these are two different teams.
— Dejan Stankovic went to the locker room right after the final whistle without shaking your hand. How can you comment on this?
— There's nothing special here. Before the match, Dejan and I talked normally, wished each other a good game. I perfectly understand his emotions, no one likes to lose.
