The acting head coach of Dynamo Moscow, Rolan Gusev, in a flash interview with Match Premier TV channel, shared his expectations from the Russian championship match with Dynamo Makhachkala.
— Dynamo had a very unexpected start to the week. Tell us, how did the head coach change?
— The club management announced this to us. Valery Karpin came, said goodbye to the team and wished good luck, after which we started preparing for the game.
— Were there any prerequisites that this could happen?
— Everyone understands perfectly well that when a team does not have a result, and the management and fans are waiting for it, then anything can always happen. It is clear that there were some rumors, but no one expected this.
— At the end of last season you were already in charge of the team. Was the preparation for today's match somehow different from that period?
— Of course, it was different. Then it was the end of the season. We had to play with another team, and there were only two days to prepare. Now there is a completely different team, so the preparation was built differently.
— Your team has a super attacking lineup, how will it all look on the field?
— You will see everything directly on the field. It is clear that we are taking a certain risk, oversaturating the attack, but one of the attackers will always help in the center of the field. There are certain ideas and thoughts that we have conveyed to the guys. The squad seems super-attacking, but the requirements for the players in this scheme are slightly different.
— What is the reason for the reshuffle in the defensive line – Maxim Osipenko remained in reserve, and Andrei Lunev returned to the goal?
— This is the choice of our coaching staff: We have three good central defenders and three good goalkeepers. To date, we have considered that it is advisable to play with such a composition.
