Dynamo Moscow head coach Rolan Gusev answered journalists' questions at a press conference after the match with Rubin (0:1).
– After a bright start this spring, there is only one victory in the last matches, what happened?
– The fact that there was a bright start is already history. It is already necessary to forget about it and move on. The problem is at what pace we are playing the last matches. We asked to move the ball faster and make decisions. If we play so slowly, then nothing will work out with any RPL team. If we move the ball so slowly in the center of the field, without turning and penetrating passes, then the opponent will not have much difficulty defending against us.
– Was there any thought of replacing Gladyshev during the break?
– There were a lot of thoughts, but it's not just about Gladyshev. He is also an addicted player. To bring the ball to its flank, it must be moved faster, selected and picked up. Wingers and strikers are always dependent footballers. If you keep losing the ball and not delivering it to their zones, then they will look inactive.
– How would you rate Sergeev's exit and their connection with Tyukavin?
– Sometimes the situation requires the exit of the second striker. When the opponent is sitting in the lower block, then we need to quickly deliver the ball to the flanks and make passes, and then we need another forward. But with today's movements of the ball, it was impossible to get it there, and it's not about Sergeyev.
– Is the poor movement of the ball due to the active pressure of Rubin, or is it a flaw in the players?
– I don't think it's their pressure, although they really stressed our players. But first of all, it has to do with decision-making. The teams are well aware that if we play with the ball, we can create problems, and of course they play with us tightly. We constantly repeat that we need to move the ball faster, make turns, but when we make 3-4 touches in the center of the field, any team will cover you. When we played fast at the beginning of the year, then everything worked out. I have an understanding of why this is happening.
– Luis Chavez entered the field today after a long rehabilitation. When will he be ready to play more and start?
– He's ready to play. Luis is one of those players in the center of the field who came out and made these decisions. Yes, he is not in optimal shape yet, but I hope that he will add to our quick decision-making in the center of the field.
