The acting head coach of Dynamo Moscow, Rolan Gusev, answered journalists' questions after the match with Akhmat (1:2).
— Thanks to the guys, they played well, but they didn't take advantage of the chances they should have. Otherwise, I have no complaints about them.
— What was the key factor in this game?
— The penalty was the key factor. Leon is a product of our youth, a young guy, and he'll still make mistakes. Overall, he played well, well done. We need to support him; he has a bright future. The ball hitting his hand is just a sign of youth.
— Was it a surprise to you that Lechi Sadulaev was covering the entire flank in the first half? Were you able to adapt quickly?
— He wasn't dangerous there. We immediately looked at the lineup, analyzed it, and figured out what formation they would use. There was a moment when we couldn't get through to him, but we needed to load up the left zone, where he played, because we could launch attacks from there.
— What was the reason for such a hesitant start to the second half?
— We almost didn't get going in the second half, conceded an unnecessary goal, then dominated, created chances, but didn't take advantage of them.
— Do you think the result reflected the game?
— I don't think so. We had more chances, but the winner is the one who takes them.
— You had a lot of young players in the previous round, including Viktor Okishor. Why wasn't he on the field today?
— Other young players played today – Babaev, Zaydenzal. We decided to hold Viktor back, but we have high hopes for him in the future.
— What's the current atmosphere in the team ahead of the final game against Spartak?
— The atmosphere in the team is good. Everyone understands perfectly well who they're playing against. It's clear that right now, after such a defeat, no one's emotional state can be good. We'll work on that throughout the week.
— Is there any psychological pressure before this derby?
— There's always some pressure. You always genuinely care about your players when they're on the field, but you understand that you can only help them during the break and during training.
