
Dynamo Uruguayan footballer Diego Laxalt turns 32 on Friday.
Diego was born in Montevideo and at the age of 10 he joined the academy of the local Defensor Sporting club. He made his debut for the main team at the age of 19 and soon left for Italy, where he played for Bologna, Empoli, Genoa, Torino and Milan. He spent the 2020/21 season at Celtic, winning the Scottish Cup with him. Since June 2021, he has been playing for Dynamo, for which he played 73 matches.
In 2013, as part of the youth national team of Uruguay, Diego took third place at the South American Championship, and also became a finalist in the World Championship. He played 24 matches for the main national team.
