Dynamo assistant coach Luis Martinez turns 53 on Wednesday.
Luis was a professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Vigo in Spain, where he met Valery Karpin when he played for the local Celta.
He first came to work in Russia in 2013, joining Karpin's coaching staff at Spartak. Later he worked in the Chinese Hebei and the Mexican Atlas. In 2018, he returned to Russia, reuniting with Karpin in Rostov. Since July 2021, he has been the physical training coach of the Russian national team.
