On Sunday, Dynamo Moscow midfielder Rubens Antonio Diaz turns 25.
Rubens was born in the south-east of Brazil and at the age of 15 got into one of the two main clubs in the region – Atletico Mineiro. There he progressed rapidly, playing in the center of midfield, and in 2020 became one of the main creators of his team's victory in the Brazilian youth championship (under 20).
Rubens made his debut in the Brazilian Championship in 2022 and played in 29 matches during the season. In 2025, he began to play more often in the center of the field and for 23 matches in three major tournaments he scored 3 goals, one assist and was second in interceptions in the Brazilian championship (2.3 on average per match).
At the end of July 2025, the Brazilian signed a contract with Dynamo until the summer of 2030. He played 28 matches for the blue and white.
