Dynamo Moscow head coach Sandro Schwarz answered journalists' questions after the home cup match with Akhmat (3-0).
– A great result, considering that we have changed the composition a lot compared to the match against Lokomotiv, leaving only Vanya Sergeev. We played very well for the first 25 minutes, controlled the ball, then we started making easy mistakes and allowed the opponent to create sharpness. It's good that we scored at the right moment right before the break, and in the second half we scored twice more. Both forwards scored, which is very important for us. We are happy with today's match, and now the full focus is on Sunday's derby with Spartak.
– How are Victor Okishor and Daniil Fomin feeling?
– Vitya had a muscle spasm due to the large amount of work, but nothing serious. As for Fomin, he recently returned to training, and before the game we knew that he would play 45-60 minutes.
– You probably made substitutions with an eye to the derby with Spartak. Why did they decide to remove Ulvi Babayev during the break, and not Okishor, and release Yaroslav Gladyshev, and not Arthur?
– We wanted to release Gladyshev to the right flank and keep Vitya on the field, because he played very actively in the first half and created sharpness with his dribbling. So the replacement of Babayev with Gladyshev was made not only based on the upcoming match. I told the team not to think about Sunday, but to think about winning this match, and we won it.
– When you worked in Russia for the first time, the format of the Russian Cup was different. How much do you like the new formula?
– I really like it – a lot of matches in the group stage, which can be diluted by constant training. The main thing now is to get into the playoffs, and for this we need to play the remaining three games well: away in Grozny and Krasnodar and at home with Fakel.
