Dynamo’s head coach Sandro Schwarz answered the questions at the press conference after the match against Rubin Kazan (0:2).
— Today we started very well, created a lot of chances, in particular, Lesovoy hit the crossbar. Unfortunately, we couldn’t score, and Rubin got the advantage after their first attempt. In the second half, we didn’t play typically for us. We didn't have the usual energy and passion on the pitch. We were unlucky in the episode with the second conceded goal. Of course, we are upset and not satisfied with the final score. We have to learn from this defeat and avoid these mistakes in the future. We should play our game within the entire match.
— Leonid Slutsky said that he was surprised by Dynamo’s starting line-up. How predictable was Rubin’s starting line-up for you?
— We expected such a line-up. We knew that they would play with a 4-1-4-1 formation. We were ready for this and were not surprised by this game from our opponents. I would like to note how good Zakharyan and Tyukavin came out as substitutes. Unfortunately, we missed too many goalscoring chances. We have to work on finishing.
— What do you think of Clinton N’Jie facing Ilya Samoshnikov on the wing?
— Both players are fast. We played well in the first half and created a lot of chances from this wing, where Varela helped N’Jie. Statistics show that we were good at challenges. Now we have to work on finishing and do our best in the remaining matches. I think that sooner or later luck will be on our side.
— Can you say that releasing Neustädter in the second half was a mistake?
— We were a little unlucky in that episode, but I wouldn’t say that Roman performed poorly. We switched to three centre-backs, copying the formation of the winning match in Krasnodar. We managed to come from behind there, but unfortunately we couldn’t do the same today.
