The head coach of Dynamo Moscow, Sandro Schwarz, answered journalists' questions after the away match with Baltika (1:2).
– I would like to congratulate Baltika on the victory. Before the first goal we conceded, we played well enough, created chances, controlled the game. We need to defend better on the standards. After the goal, the hosts seized the initiative. We reacted well to the second goal, were able to win back one goal and create a few more opportunities. We are very disappointed with the result, and it's good that the next game is already on Wednesday.
– How much did the absence of Andrei Lunev affect the team?
– Kurban played a very good game. Lunev was injured, let's see how much he will miss.
– The team scored one point and scored one goal in two matches. How are you going to give the players confidence in their abilities before the difficult games next week?
– We need to continue working on our principles of the game. The result was bad today, but there were still a lot of good moments in our game. We had a great pre-season and expected to score more points in the opening rounds, but that's what happens in football. Now we have to fix this situation, and I have one hundred percent faith in our team and our players.
– They often talk about the incompatibility on the field of Konstantin Tyukavin and Ivan Sergeev. How do you consider it appropriate for them to appear together?
– Today I would not focus on the scheme. Today Vanya took the place of the winger – the second striker playing between the lines. And after it came out, we had a lot of good moments.
– There are high expectations from Dynamo, considering how the team played in your first visit. What is the team missing more – time or newcomers?
– I understand that everyone compares that period with today, but it seems to me that this is not entirely correct. We have held only two official meetings, and, of course, we need to improve various components. Yes, in the second half of the match with Krylia we didn't show our game, but today we saw a lot of good moments in terms of how we want to play. We ourselves had high expectations from the start of the championship after such a pre-season, and we are disappointed with the results, but we must continue to build our game and work hard every day.
– How are Juan Caceres and Timofey Marinkin feeling? Will there be a big rotation in the cup match in Voronezh?
– Let's see. It's good that Caceres and Marinkin, who has great potential, have returned to the field. I can say that there will definitely be changes in the starting lineup.
