Dynamo Moscow head coach Sandro Schwarz answered journalists' questions after the away cup match with Akhmat (2:1).
– It was a very emotional game, especially at the end. We changed 10 players in the starting lineup and played well for the first 45 minutes: we controlled the course of the meeting, defended well and acted in counterpressing, Vitya Okishor scored an amazing goal. In the second half we had two great scoring chances, and when we didn't realize them, the opponent began to put pressure, he had a lot of standard positions, and we had to defend, which we did very well in most cases. Yes, we missed it at the end, but we reacted superbly to it and snatched the victory, which I am very happy about. Now the whole focus of our attention is on Sunday's derby with CSKA.
– Did the injury of Alexander Kutitskiy in the first minutes affect your game?
– We wanted to give Alexander playing time, and, of course, it's a pity that he had to be changed after two minutes. I hope that his recovery will go well. I want to say that I am proud of all the guys and how they looked today.
– Is it possible to say that you managed to snatch this victory at the expense of character?
– Yes, the second goal is not the result of some tactics, it is the result of the mentality and character of the players. And I am very pleased that the guys believed in the victory to the end and took it away.
– You won Akhmat quite easily in Moscow. How much more difficult was today's match?
– It turned out to be very difficult, especially after we couldn't score the second goal after the break. In Grozny, in principle, it is always very difficult to play. Plus, the lawn was not of the best quality. They have an experienced and strong coach, so it was very difficult to win.
