The head coach of the blue and whites Sandro Schwarz answered journalists' questions after the winning match with Akhmat (2:0).
– We played the whole game very well. From the very beginning we played very intensively and created a lot of chances. We scored a quick goal, had a lot of chances to score the second, but there is always a danger when the score is only 1:0. I told the guys about it during the break. In the second half, the picture was similar – we had enough chances, the opponent also had a couple of good chances. As a result, we deservedly won in good style. Now we need to continue in the same spirit in Voronezh.
– How do you assess the pass culture at Dynamo at the moment?
– I am happy with this aspect. We always try to look for free players between the lines to speed up the game. The problem was in the final phase of the attacks, where we did not act cleanly enough. This was my main message at half-time, that you need to respect the game and the opponent, that you need to cherish the ball and not lose concentration for a second. And in the second half we had enough chances to score more.
– There were moments today when there was some kind of out-of-sync in the actions of Dynamo players, which caused a lot of attacks to be ruined. What is the reason for this?
– Yes, the last transmissions were not always accurate enough, as were some shots. I liked the way the players interacted on the field, but sometimes the decisions in the final third were not quite right. Nevertheless, we could have scored three or four goals in the first half.
– Maximiliano Gutierrez comes off the bench well, sharpens the game. But there is a feeling that he really wants to score and because of this he takes too much of the game on himself. Do you agree with this?
– All the players in the attack group want to score, and that's good. But first of all, players must work for the team both offensively and defensively, and already individual achievements fade into the background.
– Why were the first 30 minutes of the second half not as bright and spectacular as the first half?
– I agree. When you don't score the second goal for a long time, the idea may come to mind that it's better to defend the advantage of one ball than to rush to score more. And we saw it in some episodes, but we still created enough scoring chances in the second half.
– Danil Glebov is progressing well. Tell us, why did he add so much?
– Due to their behavior and character. He is a true professional and a team player. He fights for every ball, and today we saw that he takes the next step forward and tries to play forward all the time, sharpening the game. He is a very important player for our team.
– How are the health of Luis Chavez and Andrei Lunev?
– We hope that Luis will return during the international break in November. As for Andrei, he is ill and should start training next week.
– If we take the last two home matches with CSKA and Akhmat, then in the second half there was a double-edged game with equal chances for the teams. Are you rather pleased that Dynamo achieved the desired result both times, or is it alarming that these games could swing in any direction?
– Of course, I am happy with every victory and the reaction to the two defeats that we showed. But the matches with CSKA and Akhmat were different. The game with the army team was equal, but today our team dominated and created many more dangerous moments than the opponent. If we had scored the second goal earlier, it would have given us confidence and the victory would have been even more convincing. But the main thing is that we have achieved victories in these matches.
– Now the team has very good players with whom you can fight for the highest places. Is it difficult for you to determine the starting lineup?
– It's not a problem, it's my responsibility. We need every player, and as you can see, everyone gets their playing time in the Cup or championship. Everyone should be ready to go on the field at any time and help the team. It's part of our philosophy. Making decisions on the squad and explaining them to the players is part of my job. And if you regularly and openly communicate with players, then usually there are no problems.
– What did you say to the referee in Krasnodar that he showed you a red card?
– I didn't say any bad words. I just expressed my thoughts about his work. I spoke English, he spoke Russian, so I'm not sure we understood each other one hundred percent, but there were no insults.
