The head coach of the blue and whites Sandro Schwarz answered journalists' questions after the victorious derby with Spartak (2:1).
– The first 70 minutes were excellent from our side – we defended and pressed well, acted very intensively, if you do not take the situation with the conceded goal. But it should be noted that we reacted well to it and scored twice. Today we had a great mix of possession of the ball and the actions of the second number, when we won a large number of single combats.
In the last 20 minutes after the removal, we changed the structure of the game, showed our character, our emotions. They acted great on the standards, creating an offside at the moment with the uncounted goal of Spartak. I will note the excellent atmosphere at the packed stadium. I told the team that I had been waiting for this match for four years after we lost to Spartak in the Cup final, and now I want to say thank you for these emotions and for this great victory.
– Konstantin Tyukavin noted after the last match that rumors about newcomers angered Yaroslav Gladyshev. Did they really motivate him that way?
– I would not like to talk about players not from our team right now. We always believe in all our players. Yaroslav and I talked a lot, made video selections of his game, talked about what he could improve. He played great against Lokomotiv and performed well today in the pressure, picked off the balls and played great in attack. I am very proud of him and his work for the team. I'm glad he scored an important goal.
– How did Tyukavin react to his first red card in his career?
– So far we have only celebrated the victory together. Now is not the time to talk about this moment, which I have not watched yet. We will analyze it later. Tyukavin is a wonderful football player and person. Today he showed a top game, worked well for the team. Yes, such moments happen, and we will miss him in the next match, but I am sure that he will come back even stronger.
– Did you have a plan B in case of Ezequiel Barco's participation in the match?
– Of course, we analyzed Spartak's football philosophy and how they play with and without Barko. We always try to think through possible scenarios of the match, like, for example, today with the removal. We switched to playing three central defenders, strengthened the central line in order to shift the game to the flanks. Sometimes our tactical plan can be quite complicated, and today the guys did a great job with it.
– Dynamo dominated the center of the field for most of the match. Based on what considerations did you choose such a combination of midfielders?
– In the morning we talked with Daniil Fomin, who was injured and played only a half with Akhmat. Luis, on the other hand, has already entered the rhythm of the game, plus he sets the standards perfectly with his left foot, so we decided to release him.
– Kevin Kuranyi has arrived in Moscow, have you met him yet?
– We are familiar with him and are in good contact. Kevin scored many goals for Dynamo and is a legend of the team. But we haven't met yet because we had a very busy schedule this week. It's great that the club invites such legends to the stadium, because it is very important for its identity and fans. Before that, Alexander Ovechkin came to the matches, Kuranyi came today – it's always great to see such people at our stadium.
