
We summarize the statistics of the 2020/21 season — we recall success of young Dynamo players, perfect execution of penalties and personal achievements of the White-Blues in our review.
1 – Sandro Schwarz is the first head coach from Germany in Dynamo history. Previously, the White-Blues were headed by five foreign coaches: Jaroslav Hrebik, Ivo Wortmann, Miodrag Božović, Dan Petrescu and Yuriy Kalitvintsev.
2 – The White-Blues came from behind twice by 3:2 this season. In March, Dynamo conceded two goals to Krasnodar, but managed to pull out a victory thanks to a long-range strike by Daniil Fomin and a brace by Konstantin Tyukavin. During the last matchday, Vyacheslav Grulyov’s brace and Arsen Zakharyan's goal brought Dynamo impressive three points in the derby against CSKA.
3 – Zakharyan took the 3rd place among the youngest scorers in the Russian history of Dynamo. Arsen scored his first goal for the first team in away fixture against Akhmat when he was 17 years and 278 days old. At a younger age, only Alexander Kokorin and Petr Nemov scored.
4 Lev Yashin Dynamo Academy prospects made their debut in the first team – Sergey Slepov, Konstantin Tyukavin, Arsen Zakharyan and Alexander Kutitsky.
5 Dynamo football players took part in the final round of the U-21 European Championship — Roman Yevgenyev, Daniil Lesovoy, Arsen Zakharyan, Vyacheslav Grulyov and Konstantin Tyukavin. Zakharyan also became the youngest goalscorer in the U-21 European Championship history.
6 – Sebastian Szymanski made six assists in the Russian Premier League this season. But he stayed behind Christian Noboa and Douglas Santos, who both made 7 assists.

7 – Dynamo top scorer Daniil Fomin scored seven goals — the central midfielder made Dynamo opponents sad six times in the championship and once more in the Russian Cup. Daniil Lesovoy showed the same efficacy, but he scored two goals as part of Arsenal Tula.
8 – Dynamo players scored eight goals after corners — Ivan Ordets (11 attempts) and Roman Yevgenyev (10 attempts) threatened the opponent’s goal more often.
10 goals were scored by players who came out as substitutes – Grulyov and Tyukavin managed to make a brace in the matches against CSKA and Krasnodar, respectively.
11 out of 11 penalties were executed by Dynamo players in all tournaments — Daniil Fomin and Nikolay Komlichenko have four successful attempts, Nikola Moro – 2 and Maximilian Philipp – 1.
17 Dynamo players scored last season, while seven of them scored their first goals for the White-Blues.
The White-Blue team played 21 matches under Sandro Schwarz. Dynamo gained eleven victories, tied the game three times and lost seven matches with 36-27 goal difference.
31 football players performed for Dynamo during the season, four more players entered the team list, but made no appearances on the pitch.
Dynamo conceded 33 goals in the Premier League – only Zenit conceded less (26).

Dynamo supporters celebrated the 45th anniversary of the fan movement. On May 23, 1976, the first organized group of Dynamo fans gathered at the stadium in Petrovsky Park to support the team in the match against Dynamo Minsk.
Dynamo scored 50 points in the Premier League this season. After switching to the European system, the team earned more points only once — 52 points in the 2013/14 season.
Sebastian Szymanski suffered 65 fouls — this is the third result in the league. More often, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Roman Zobnin were fouled on – 70 times.
Sebastian Szymanski threatened 74 times the opponent's goal in all tournaments, 26 of them came on target — the best result in the team this season.
Dynamo players carried out 93 attacks on average per match — the best result in the Premier League on a par with Zenit. However, the White-Blues keep the first place according to fast attacks — 16.
Anton Shunin made the 100th clean sheet in the first round fixture against Akhmat. In total, Dynamo captain made 10 clean sheets in Premier League matches this season — the 4th result.
Sebastian Szymanski made 139 tackles in Premier League matches. He lost only to two Rotor players Danil Stepanov (171) and Ilya Zhigulyov (152).

Daniil Lesovoy dribbled successfully 158 times, one less than RPL leader Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Sebastian Szymanski made 226 passes to the penalty area, 118 of them effective — according to both statistic points, the Polish international remains second in the league after Douglas Santos (270 and 161).
Roman Yevgenyev won 237 tackles in the air, Ivan Ordets – 233 – this is the fourth and fifth results in the Premier League.
Daniil Lesovoy won 238 tackles — more than anyone in the Premier League.
