Dynamo Moscow striker Ulvi Babaev shared his emotions after extending his contract with the club and addressed the fans of the blue and whites.
– This is a very important event in my life, because I was brought up at Dynamo; I've been here since I was ten. I'm very grateful to the club and the fans. I saw their support. I'm also grateful to Sergei Vadimovich Stepashin for believing in me. I feel the club's trust and will continue to strive to contribute to the team.
– What was the most memorable moment of your Dynamo career?
– Of course, the most rewarding was when I scored three goals on a very special and important day for the club, Lev Ivanovich Yashin's birthday. For me, that was a special moment. I believe it happened because I had a certain system and discipline. I achieved this through my hard work.
– What qualities have enabled you to progress and perform brilliantly this season?
– First of all, winning is always a priority for me. I only see winning and never losing. Secondly, if we're talking about footballing qualities, I think I have everything a forward needs: shooting and dribbling.
– What's your main motivation for the second half of the season?
– Every game is exciting for us. We go out on the field to win. Besides, we've reached the quarterfinals of the Russian Cup, and we have every chance of success. I'm confident we can fight for first place in this tournament.
– What's your relationship like with Rolan Gusev?
– Rolan Aleksandrovich supported me during this difficult period. He made it clear he trusts me, so I won't let him down.
I'd also like to address the fans: I'm very grateful to you all for your support. See you soon! See you at the VTB Arena very soon!
