Dynamo Moscow head coach Valery Karpin answered journalists' questions after the match with Rostov (1-0).
— What components do you need to improve in team actions?
— First of all, attacking actions, coming out of defense and positional attack need to be improved.
— With what emotions you went to the game with Rostov. How did you communicate with Jonathan Alba?
— We talked well. We talked not only this week, we are in touch all the time. As for emotions, I spent so many years in a team where all the players and coaching staff are familiar to me, so there was nostalgia. Emotions are unusual. After the game, Jonathan congratulated me and that was it.
— Before the game, Jonathan pointed with his hands to the vacant seat of the head coach. What did he mean by that?
— It was a joke.
— There is a cup game ahead. What kind of squad are you planning for the match with Sochi?
— The composition will be different. We play in two days for the third, then we have to go to Krasnodar. Whether the players will survive three games in a week in such a rhythm and in such heat, plus a difficult move, is a question. So the composition will be different.
— You are releasing Denis Makarov in the second round in a row. Why does the choice fall on him? It seemed that he didn't get into the game today.
— For me, he got into the game better than in the match with Baltika.
— How much does the situation with injuries in the defensive line bother you?
— It bothers a lot. Marichal and Majstorovic were injured, Fernandez was injured, Laxalt is just recovering. Of course, we could use personnel units in the line of defense.
