Valery Karpin: "There was more good than bad in the match with Sochi"

— What did you like in your team's game today and what did you dislike?

— It is clear that I am dissatisfied with the result. There are no questions about defense at all – it's a shame to miss after a single shot on target for the whole game. As for the attack, I liked the first half. There were moments in the first and in the second half, but if you don't score, the opponent scores. And the goal came from nothing. There were more good things, it's not easy to single out something bad, except for the result.

— Dynamo had a lot of moments. What was not enough to score the second goal?

— Accuracy and implementation. There were moments, somewhere there was not enough composure, calmness, somewhere they made the wrong decisions, as in the moment of Caceres, who could have rolled on Ngamaleu, and it would have been 2:0.

— Four rounds have passed, in which Dynamo won one victory. Can you draw any intermediate conclusions?

— It is clear that this is an unsatisfactory result. We expected more. But with Krasnodar, and today it was hard to strengthen the game with someone from the bench. So far, unfortunately, that's it. You can't blame anyone for these injuries, they're all different – both long and short-lived.

— When will it be possible to say that this is Karpin's Dynamo, which fully understands your requirements?

— Everyone already understands the requirements, and this can be seen on the field. This is already my team.

— How do you rate the newcomers of the team?

— I rate them well. It is clear that Rubens and Zaynutdinov came from the ship to the ball, but they look decent. It is clear that they did not go through the pre-season with us and are not one hundred percent ready, so someone is playing more, someone less.

— Can you tell us about the recovery time of the players?

— We hope that next week Osipenko and, possibly, Fernandez and Maouhoub should start training with the team. Let's see how they will react to the load.
