Dynamo beat Rubin away and topped the RPL standings

The match of the 10th round of the Russian Premier League, held in Kazan, ended with the victory of our team with a score of 1:0.

Sandro Schwarz fielded his usual lineup, swapping in Nicolás Marichal and Daniil Fomin for Maksim Osipenko and Luis Chávez, who had been training individually after returning from international duty.

The teams started the match briskly, and Andrey Lunev was called into action as early as the third minute to save a shot from Jacques Sivé aimed at the near post. Dynamo tried to play at pace with vertical attacks, but the Kazan side remained vigilant inside their own penalty area. Only once did a cross from Yaroslav Gladyshev reach Daniil Fomin, though the captain found it difficult to bring the ball under control.

For the most part, defensive play from both sides clearly outperformed the attack, a situation compounded by frequent turnovers. Ilya Rozhkov created a couple of dangerous moments. First, he won a duel against Juan Cáceres, but his threatening shot was bravely blocked by David. Shortly after, a cross from the left flank caused a scramble in the Dynamo box, ending with Sivé firing wide of the mark.

In the 30th minute, Dynamo launched a successful fast attack: Konstantin Tyukavin spotted Cáceres making a run; Yevgeny Staver parried the Paraguayan’s effort — a cross-shot hybrid — straight into Zhakhongir Urozov, and the ball ricocheted into the net. The "White-Blues" took the lead, and six minutes later, they gained a numerical advantage: on the right flank, Samoshnikov stepped on the thigh of the fallen David and was shown a straight red card.

At halftime, Leon Zaydenzal replaced Cáceres, who had received a yellow card in the first half. The hosts did not shy away from attacking despite being a man down; in one instance, Rubens dispossessed Sive at the last moment just as the latter was preparing to shoot from a promising position. The Brazilian also performed well in attack, firing a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area, though Staver was equal to the task.

In the 64th minute, Viktor Okishor and Josué Casimir — making his Dynamo debut — entered the pitch. Their arrival saw the Muscovites take even greater control of the game. Shortly thereafter, the "White-and-Blues" won the ball back in the opposition's half and worked it to the new Haitian signing, but Igor Vujacic managed to get his head to the ball just as he was about to shoot.

The match's steady rhythm was interrupted by another red card; in the 83rd minute, Rubens was sent off for catching Ruslan Bezrukov in the face with his shoulder. The coaching staff immediately responded with a double substitution, bringing on Dmitry Skopintsev and Ivan Sergeev. In the closing stages, the hosts attempted a late rally, but most of their shots were blocked, and a strike by Ulvi Babayev from the edge of the box was confidently gathered by Lunev.

Thus, Dynamo secured their sixth consecutive league victory, reaching 22 points and moving to the top of the standings. In the next round, they will host second-placed CSKA on October 18, but before that, they will play an away match against Akhmat Grozny in the FONBET Russian Cup on October 14.
