The organizer of the seventh round of the XXV tournament was Torpedo. It took place on July 29 at the Spartak Arena and was dedicated to the memory of the Honored Master of Sports Eduard Anatolyevich Streltsov.
Before the start of the competition, a minute of silence was observed in memory of Torpedo player Sergei Agashkov, who passed away at the age of 64.
1) Dynamo – Lokomotiv – 1:0 (Likhobabenko)
2) Dynamo – Spartak – 1:0 (Kozlov)
3) Dynamo – CSKA – 2:0 (Likhobabenko - 2)
4) Dynamo – RFU - 2:0 (Dubrovin, Novgorodov)
5) Dynamo – Torpedo – 1:0 (Kozlov)
1st match. The frisky start instilled confidence in success. Valery Likhobabenko, with a long-range shot, pierced through the goalkeeper's defense and hands. Stanislav Dubrovin played excitedly, once he was neutralized by a wrestling technique, but the referee did not stop the game.
Valery Likhobabenko: After all, I'm left-footed, and here the ball fits comfortably. The thought flashed that it was a long way to the gate, but still struck the force.
Alexey Kutsenko: Well done Dubrovin, who did not argue with the referee, made himself nervous, could have run into removal. "The judge is always right" is an axiom. Although, of course, the violation was obvious.
2nd match. Both teams were worthy of each other and emphasized this by exchanging blows to the frame of the goal: they hit the post, Dubrovin hit the crossbar. And in the second half, after a corner kick, Alexei Kozlov put the ball right into the net with his head. Spartak players started up, but only Dynamo could still score when Vladimir Skokov and Dubrovin, a meter from the goal, did not tame the naughty ball together.
Alexey Kozlov: Valery Likhobabenko hit me from the corner, so well that with my height I felt that I would win the ball. It remained only to punch accurately.
3rd match. The attacks on the gates of the army began with Kozlov's dense blow to the base of the bar, and then the audience watched Likhobabenko's solo tricks. His blow from the summer even stuck out the net – 1:0. It was followed by a long–range shot exactly in the top nine - 2:0. The victory is beautiful and deserved.
Valery Likhobabenko: I don't know how it happened. Well, hit. Well, I scored. I'm just lucky today, fartites, favors, fortune smiles.
4th match. The first goal is entirely Kozlov's merit. He caught up with the outgoing ball, kept control of the ball in the fight with the opponent and gave such a gorgeous pass that Dubrovin could not miss even with his eyes closed. The author of the second goal was Andrei Novgorodov, after which the ball hit the defender's leg and darted into the corner where the goalkeeper had just been.
Andrey Novgorodov: We have only one reserve player today. I believe that this additionally mobilized everyone, knowing that it would not be possible to "beg" for a replacement. Well, this is besides the fact that Dynamo is just a strong team.
The 5th match. Lucky and hardworking Kozlov shot his prickly punch through the pandemonium of players at the gate, and the goalkeeper saw the ball already in the net. In the future, Dynamo played easily, vividly, reveling in their superiority.
Vladimir Dolbonosov: Exactly 90 years ago, in July 1936, Dynamo Moscow became the first champion of the USSR, gaining 100% points. The record is forever, it cannot be improved, it can only be repeated. As a leader, I am glad that it was repeated by our team of veterans. We dedicate today's victory to our dear and loyal fans who support the team loudly, noisily and desperately.
Yuri Koshel: During the five years that the tournament has been held in a round-robin system, only one team has achieved an absolute result in the rounds. And this is Dynamo, and for the second time. For the first time – in the January round of 2022 with a goal difference of 6:0. Today Dynamo added balls to 7:0.
The Dynamo team consists of Sergey Zhilkin (goalkeeper), Andrey Novgorodov, Eric Yakhimovich (captain), Stanislav Dubrovin, Alexey Kozlov, Valery Likhobabenko, Vladimir Skokov, Alexey Kutsenko, Alexander Tochilin.
Team leader: Vladimir Dolbonosov.
Dynamo veterans supported their native club: Viktor Losev, Andrei Smetanin, Mikhail Skokov.
